ZOJOSU CANNONAU DI SARDEGNA DOC 2022

The Cannonau di Sardegna Zòjosu from Masone Mannu comes from a single ungrafted vineyard surrounded by cork oak forests, located in the village of Su Canale, in Monti, in the province of Sassari. Vinified as a single varietal with 12 days of maceration on the skins, it ages in stainless steel tanks for approximately 6 months and then in bottle for a further 6 months. Ruby red with garnet highlights, it offers elegant aromas of ripe red fruit and intriguing balsamic notes typical of the Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is austere and enveloping, with dense tannins supporting a rounded and fruity flavor. Pair with ragù-based first courses or meat-based main courses.
